Understanding speech on the telephone can be challenging for those with hearing loss, but hearing aids can help!
If you are a hearing aid user, remember to hold the telephone receiver near your hearing aid microphones. This will allow the signal to be amplified for further clarity.
- If you wear a Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aid, you will want to hold the telephone receiver higher up, as demonstrated in the photo below.
- If you wear an In-The-Ear (ITE) hearing aid, you will want to hold the telephone receiver up to your ear canal.
